Twice a year on a ladder. Or twice a year writing a check so someone else goes up there.
Gutter guards end that cycle. They keep leaves, cedar elm seeds, oak catkins, shingle grit and nesting material out of your gutters so water actually moves when a North Texas storm dumps two inches in an hour.
Frisco Gutter Pros installs gutter guards on homes and commercial buildings across Frisco and the surrounding towns. We inspect the gutter system, repair what needs fixing, and then install the guards.

Do You Need Gutter Guards?
Answer this honestly. If two or more of these are true, guards will pay for themselves.
- You are cleaning gutters more than twice a year
- Water pours over the front lip during a hard rain
- Something is growing in your gutters
- Your gutters sag in the middle or pull away from the fascia
- You have a two-story elevation, and the ladder work is not worth it anymore
- Mature trees hang over your roofline
- You manage a commercial property and keep getting maintenance calls about the same overflow
If any of that sounds familiar, call 469-804-0818. We will tell you what your gutters need before we quote guards.
How Gutter Guards Help
Debris is only the surface problem. Here is what a clogged gutter actually costs you.
Water that cannot reach the downspout dumps straight down along your foundation. In Frisco clay soil, that is the expensive kind of damage.
Wet debris sits in the trough and rots the fascia board behind it. Then the soffit. Then the hangers let go.
Standing water breeds mosquitoes all summer. Wasps, birds, and squirrels build in packed gutters year-round.
Guards keep the trough open so the system drains the way it was designed to drain. Fewer cleanings are the obvious benefit. Not replacing fascia, not chasing foundation cracks, and not having gutters tear off the house in a spring storm is the real one.
For commercial properties, it also means fewer ladder calls and fewer tenant complaints after every rain.
469.804.0818Gutter Guards Don’t Fix Bad Gutters
This is where most guard installations go wrong, and it’s why we inspect before we sell.
A gutter guard is a cover. It does not clean, level, seal, or reattach anything. Installed over a gutter that already has problems, it traps those problems where you can no longer see them.
Guards should never go over:
- Clogged gutters. The debris stays. Now it is sealed in and rotting.
- Badly pitched gutters. Water still pools. Guards do not make water run uphill.
- Leaking seams and end caps. The leak continues behind the cover, usually onto the fascia.
- Sagging gutters. Guards will not sit flat. Debris gets in through every gap along the run.
- Loose or spaced-out hangers. Adding weight to a system that is already pulling away speeds up the failure.
- Rusted, dented, or split gutters. Covering damaged material buys you nothing.
When we quote gutter guards, we clean out the gutters, check the pitch, seal the seams, reset or add hangers, and replace any section that is beyond repair. Then we install guards on a system that works.
If a company quotes you for guards over the phone without looking at your gutters, you are paying to hide a problem.

Choosing Gutter Guards for Your Home
The right guard depends on what falls on your roof, not what a big box store stocked this season.
Fine debris is the hard part around here. Oak catkins in spring, cedar elm seed in fall, pine needles, roof grit off aging shingles. That material walks right through wide screens and foam inserts. Micro mesh handles it.
Larger leaves off pecans, elms, and Bradford pears are easier. A solid perforated aluminum guard holds up well and costs less.
Roof pitch matters too. Steep roofs push water fast, and some guard styles let it shoot straight past the gutter in a heavy rain. We account for that.
Gutter size matters. Five-inch and six-inch systems take different guard profiles, and a guard that does not seat correctly on your gutter lip will lift in the wind.
Skip the foam inserts and the clip-in plastic screens. They collapse, they hold moisture, and they usually cost more to remove later than they saved up front.
Tell us what trees you have and what your gutters are doing now. We will match the guard to the house.
469.804.0818Gutter Cleaning + Gutter Guards
Straight answer: guards reduce maintenance; they do not eliminate it.
Leaves and seed still land on top of the mesh. Most of it blows or washes off. Occasionally, a section needs a rinse, especially under heavy tree cover.
What you stop doing is digging packed sludge out of a trough by hand every spring and fall.
Every guard job we do starts with a full cleaning, because nothing gets covered until the gutters are empty and flowing. If your gutters are due for a cleaning right now, that is a good time to price guards at the same visit and stop paying for the cleaning twice a year.
Ask about it when you call.
469.804.0818Spend Less Time Cleaning Your Gutters
Tell us about your roofline, your trees, and how often you are cleaning. We will come look at the gutters, tell you what shape they are in, and quote guards that fit the house.
We don’t install guards on gutters that need work first.
